Generation 2 Generationwith Rex & Eva

About the show

Two generations. One table.

Generation 2 Generation started with something Rex’s father told him: “Son, regardless of what happens, let’s always be able to talk.” Rex has tried to give his own daughter that same open door. This podcast is what happens when they record it.

Why we talk

Conversations today are often rushed, polarized, or avoided altogether. We want to push gently against that, making room for honest dialogue across differences, generations and experiences, without posturing or performance.

We come at every topic, from social media to success to grief, from a biblical worldview. We don’t always agree, and that’s the point. We talk, question, reason, discuss, explore and engage each other as we learn and grow together.

Dad · Veteran · Author · Speaker

Rex Davis

What began as a soldier’s near-fatal parachute accident became a life-altering journey of perspective, character and faith. Rex blends battlefield grit, boardroom experience and pastoral wisdom with humor and honesty, and he wants the next generation to hear the stories that shaped him.

He tells the whole story in his book, Free Fall: Life Lessons That Caught Me When the Parachute Didn’t.

Daughter · College student

Eva Davis

Eva brings the questions her generation is actually asking. She came of age during COVID, wrestled through school challenges that came with it, and found resilience and redemption on the other side. Now she’s navigating college, friendships and faith in real time.

What we stand on

  • God’s Word is true. Scripture is where we start, and where we come back to when we disagree.
  • Every generation has something to teach. Wisdom runs both ways across the table.
  • Grace and truth go together. We can be honest without being harsh.
  • Keep talking. No topic is off-limits when it’s handled with respect.
